@CrashxoBandicoot nobody said any such thing. The delta guy jumped on it, and according to the reporter who wrote Blackhawk down, the delta guy commenced to inflicting SCUNION on the africans. I have read(can't say personally how true it is) that Delta passes on lots of excellent soldiers because they only take the very best marksmen in the Army. Then they try to turn them into proficient gunners, which requires other skills in addition to marksmanship .

@JRScott121 Hoot is fake, I just got this movie on blue ray, and the writer said based on how the story was told in the book, it would be to long to include everybody. Hoot in the film is based on 3 or for different Delta operators.

@synystervancobain Paul howe was in the battle of mogadishu as well, but i believe they made up a character named sanderson for him, but i know for a fact hoot was a real soldier in the battle

@chucktay187 many of the parts hoot played in this movie were based off other delta operators, but there was a sgt. Norman "hoot" Hooten who was part of the battle of mogadishu, ive read the book multiple times, and it refers to him dozens of times, and there is even a map in the book that shows a building labeled sgt. Hooten's squad, so iunderstand where you are coming from, because hoot was never in a humvee until he was extracted, but hoot was there
