  • LOT007 & LOT5055 have eerie simillarities... Why was nothing done when the 1st one happened, the 2nd could have been stopped

  • "długosc pasa wynosi 3050m" na filmiku w tłumaczeniu jest napisane 3500m, a faktem jest iż lotnisko w Modlinie ma pas o długosci

    ----> 2500m

  • @ILTUSU Exactly, why Germans and Czechs never had such problems? The problem nowadays is that Polish people can't think adequately and critically when things are connected to anything russian, they immideately switch to hate mode instead. :)

  • @Wykletypl well I wouldnt risk 50 miles at 6000ft with 1 engine.. If you know what im talking about

  • @FsimulatorX What kind of question is that? Look at Il-62M and tell me it's design does not have a major flaw?

    It's clear that in this case, any type of malfunction will immediately make an airplane unflyable.

    The crew tried to save the plane, and all who were onboard.

  • Stupid crew who would fly 50miles at an altitude of about 6000ft with 1 engine running?

  • @Loredanae1978

    It had a lot to do with maintenance and cutting costs. The fact that LOT changed maintenance procedures after this crash makes that clear already.

    And in 2010 The Polish have finally acknowledged that they cut costs at that time! I know that these bearings were faulty. And that's exactly why LOT should have done vibration checks just like CSA and Interflug did with the IL-62. They flew IL-62 for 30 years without engine failures. Simply because of proper maintenance.

  • @ILTUSU

    It had nothing to do with maintenance! The bearings are built "deep" into the engine and sealed making this area unmaintainable. THERE WERE NOT ENOUGH BEARINGS TO BEGIN WITH!!! Why is it so hard to understand? Plus, engines were not maintained and repaired by PLL Lot but they would have to be sent to Russia for maintenance. The engines were faulty form the start. They were negligently built and also, holes were drilled in the bearings!!! That was unacceptable.

    Maintenance is an excus

  • @despotism444

    Yes, I saw it on Google Maps. You can clearly see where the crash occurred.

  • @ILTUSU Il-62 with maximum take-off weight would climb slowly even with 4 engines. With only two engines running it could not maintain a level flight. And only engines on right-hand side of plane were intact so it could only make very slow left turns.
