The Russ Morgan Orchestra, as featured in a 1936 Adolph Zukor short. The film opens with the band's theme, "Does Your Heart Beat For Me," and continues with "Wabash Blues." Linda Lee and Russ sing "Us On A Bus". The program concludes with "Stella."

A nice film of one of the top sweet bands of its day, originally released on video in 1984 by Swing Time Video.

  • I remember, as a child along with my parents, listening to Russ Morgan music on the radio. Brings back many happy memories.

  • I was lucky enough to see and dance to Russ Morgan back in 1954 when I was a young 2nd Lt. in the Air Force at Keesler AFB, Biloxi, MS I loved his music then and still do. Many tnx for revving up some great old memories

  • thank you my parents love this...they are gone...

  • Great music .

    Thanks for sharing.

  • 当時のダンスホールの雰囲気がよくでている動画だとおもいます。

  • I never saw Russ Morgan, but have seen and heard his son Jack hundreds of times. Saw him at the top of the Dunes in 1977 and at the Plaza in Vegas in 1994. The band hs been to my parent's house many of times.

  • What CLASS!!!I loved ALL his music from first I heard it especially all of his nostalgic 1890 through 1910 songs which he turned to GOLD from 1943 through 1950.Oh for those simple and uncomplicated times which will never return!!!Morgan,Kyser,Kaye,Blue Barron,Wayne King, etc all exemplified the truly wonderful times that they must have been!!!!!

  • Seen his son's orchestra manyyyyy times. First saw at the Dunes. Had band to my house many times too.
