On My Own - Doctor/Martha

I've found several vids with this iconic Broadway song, but all were for Rose, and I think it just fits so much better for Martha.

This particular version of the song is taken from the Complete Symphonic Cast Recording of Les Miserables, sung by the Eponine from the Tokyo cast, and is the property of Cameron Mackintosh. I'm so glad you made this! Today I was thinking about how perfect DW fanvids with Martha as Eponine would be, and when I searched for some, I found a bunch of these with Rose, which doesn't make sense at all.

on my own is a song better suited for Martha than Rose, but I wished you used a better recording-the Tokyo Eponine clips her notes too short, rather than bring them out.

Personally, I think this singer is loads better than Frances Ruffelle of the Original Broadway Cast. But each to his own.

Yeah, Rose was never on her own. Even blasting through the Universe she had Torchwood behind her. Martha was really and truly on her own in the year that never was. She was on her own in 1913...

I have to admit that you're right. The whole rejected love with Martha=Eponine factor. I am one of those who made a Rose On my Own vid. But the vid got blocked for some weird reason. You Tube is a weird place.
