This is a retrospective of the myriad of medical professionals Jeff has played over the years. From his humble beginnings as an unnamed first year intern, to the infamous Dr. Herbert West, to the incredibly lovable Kevin Burkhoff, Jeff has spanned the vast spectrum of doctor roles. Even though they are all the same profession, he brings such nuance and variation to each one, making them all separate and unique characters.

Jeff has even said himself, "If there was a Miskatonic, I'd be head of the medical unit at this point." Heh. :)

*Sorry for the ad, but it's far better than having the whole vid taken down.

Time limited me from lingering more on a few favorites and adding some "honorable mentions" in the doctor field:

- Andrew Paris from "The Phantom Empire" probably had some sort of doctoral degree from Miskatonic Institute's Identification and Classification Division.

- Rick Davenport from "Cyclone" was an inventor, and probably had some sort of doctoral degree in engineering.

- Therapist Meissner from "Snide and Prejudice" - I'm still unsure whether Meissner was supposed to be a therapist/psychiatrist in the film who was helping Michael or whether he was a fellow patient posing as a doctor.

- Jeff's also played two coroners, which are akin to a medical professional, although not a "doctor" per se - Dr. Dale Sterling from "CSI," (who is also the town vet in Jackpot, NV) and an unnamed coroner from "Freakylinks."

Then, of course, there's Brown, the terrorist from "Contagion," who *dressed as a doctor* to move stealthily through the hospital he and his partner were infecting with a deadly strain of ebola. Even when Jeff's not playing a doctor, he's playing a doctor. ;)

It's also interesting that in all of his "Star Trek" incarnations, Jeff never played a doctor! That may be thanks in part to "Deep Space Nine" creator and fellow fan, Ira Steven Behr. (Although he did create one of my absolute favorite doctors, Kevin Burkhoff for Jeff on "The 4400.")

Hope you enjoy watching this as much as I enjoyed making it! :)

There will be a new official Herbert West action figure coming out sometime later this year. Check out more info here: http://executivereplicas.com/Reanimator.htm

*And pardon the quality of the "Time Tracers" clip. I only have the VHS and haven't splurged on a VHS-DVD recorder as of yet, so my recording will have to suffice until I can redo the clip!
