Jaya said in an interview that she wanted to continue acting after marriage and motherhood, but one day as she was getting ready for a shoot, Shweta approached her and asked her where she was going. She told her that she was going for a shoot. Shweta started crying and said, "no, let Pa go to shoot. Not you. You stay." She stopped acting after that film she was shooting. Who can say no to a crying kid?? She CHOSE marriage & motherhood.

@Californiadesi - Amitabh Bachchan was globally voted the performer of the century. He's definitely the best actor in all the Bachchans. He was also in almost ever hit movie of the 1980s. Jaya couldn't hold a light to him soon after this movie, when he began to make his hits in the 1970s.
