Ah... man the memories!!
-
I lived in Misawa for 4 years. We would park at the Sukaya Onsen and camp across the road. Camping saved us 4 hours of driving time each weekend and gave us more skiing time. Yuki was amazing. It seemed like he read a lot of books in english. Always asking us about different words. But he definitely helped us, so much more with learning about Japan. If you make it back again, tell him George and Jimmy said 'Hello'.

Thanks for the awesome video. We left Japan in 1992. The gentleman at 0:35 is an old ski friend of ours Yukiji Saito San. He was a very smooth skier. He had a very good command of the English language and was very helpful to us gaijins. May you ski forever Yuki_San

Hi Mallege
Wow, you know Yuki-san, aka Grand-pa Hakkoda!!! That's awesome! I lived in Aomori for two years, before returning for a winter. He was always at the mountain, skiing his runs! Very great person! He even gave me rides back into town a few time I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
Take care
