The guy in the video sold a pool account, not SLV. He bought it in 2003, years before SLV existed. SLV does produce a bar list showing that they have ~350Moz backing up the shares (although yes, some people liike Harvey Organ think that JPM, iShares, Brinks, Via Mat, Johnson Matthey, and Inspectorate have all conspired and committed fraud and there really is no silver).

SLV is no different in my opinion.. the prospectus says.. the etf could trade at, above or below market value... How can the metal trade below the market value?.. this is whats called.. "Covering your Ass" in the event of a run on the ETF... Buyer Beware

SLV is a fraud.

Harvey Organ and others have been warning of this for ages.

Anyone with their money in SLV, could soon loose all of it.

Get out, buy physical metal, or next best, Sprotts Physical Silver Fund - the premium are high, but that''s because they know Sprott actually has every single physical ounce his fund claims to have - and yes, he will deliver, unlike SLV, who will only deliver a world of pain - sooner than we think...

@TeMpTeK1 i think so too physical is the top then allocated with your silver's serial numbers given to you not bad anything else? not for me KEEP CLEAR IS MY OPINION the reason allocated with your own serial numbers curries a premium 15% above others

@polygamous1 I definitely agree that it is best to own physical silver! However, the bars in SLV have been audited twice now (and there is evidence that the audits were actually done). The only silver not there that I am aware of is that there is no silver backing shares sold short (but, the owners of those shares agree, intentionally or not, to lend out their shares).
