Believe it or not scientists think a large meteor the size of about a city is heading towards the Earth. It is coming at a speed that it could hit by 2016. If it hits the ocean also the sea level will rise to a level where living is impossible. If it does not hit then it will get trapped in the orbit of the Earth and in 2033 a dwarf planet known as 'Planet X' will hit the meteor and the pieces will fall on the Earth and will have a devastating effect. All this is because the orbit of the Earth is slowly moving away from the Sun.
