i love stories like this one. not because somebody got them selves killed but, becauce it deffies the governments idea that we cant take care of ourselves.
btw, only felons of violent nature should have their firearms rites revoked. growing 2 pot plants in your basement doesnt make anyone a loose cannon

FYI: In police training, to protect their lives and the lives of citizens, they're taught that "stopping the threat" means killing, because one bullet most of the time won't put a man down, and even if he is down, it doesn't mean the threat is eliminated. A man can shoot while he's on the floor.
No policeman's wife wants to be told her husband is dead but"did the right thing" by not killing an armed assailant.
