Mayoral candidates on Pride funding
Toronto's 2010 mayoral candidates participated in a public debate at the Gladstone Hotel on September 9 to discuss ways of making Toronto a better place for small and medium-sized businesses. @tallderektoronto - The sight of Smitherman kissing his "husband" on the lips on TV with their adopted two-year-old-son between them put tens of thousands of ethnic voters off. The African, Tamils, Muslims and West Indians voted for Rob Ford, who is straight. Smitherman laughingly blamed Ford for this "homopbic"' turn of events, when it was the immigrants themselves (most who come from countries that are hostile to gay rights) decided for themselves who the new mayor would be......

lol, Thomson makes no sense at all, the Santa-clause parade ALSO brings in millions of people who spend money in our businesses, what does she mean "there's a real difference"? Ford is right, we really shouldn't be funding any parades right now, the businesses that get the support from them should be the ones sponsoring these events. Smitherman's point seams valid, but I'm just wondering where that extra money is going to come from. Rossi's changing the subject, idk why.
