@FirefighterMythBustr Ok just because were agressive and your fire dept anit dont mean yall better really it means yall worse. And I think that family/person would rather have a kicked in door and saved pictures of their family and their valuables.
By time the video started the door was already half way busted in and i didnt see any forcible entry tools til another firefighter came in to video....Point is if its half way broken in who cares kick it in....but dont walk up to a door and just start kickin...However if tools were up there like they should have been i missed it....second thing is the first guy in the room.....he had no idea what was on the other side of that door so dont rush in till you have an idea...I did see a TIP so props
should they of used the irons to force the door yes. but they had a working fire in there and they did what they had to do to get the job done. no time to
I am not sure how putting your air packs "through a lot of abuse" translates into making it ok to operate unprofessionally. I digress:
If these firefighters didn't have tools on the fire floor by the time a line was/is in place then SHAME ON THEM! No tools is not justification to kick in a door!
As for your final thought (or lack thereof), if you have to tell everyone how much work you are doing, you probably are not doing enough!
Good luck! If you condone this operation, You will need it!
hey dude we put some of our airpacks through ALOT of abuse so give us a break man and at the time these firemen probably didnt have tools up there yet and we probably do more work in a week than your department does in a month
great video of the guys making entry and i thought he was using the halogen tool to pry open and two firefighters kicked the door in instead but still great video and great job on entering the door
My fault :I ment to say there dept

A great video on how to tear your ACL or blow out your hip. How unprofessional!
Departments spend several thousands of dollars on tools & training, and yet "safety conscious" firefighters think booting a door is more efficient.
Learn the techniques & tips on how to use your tools to force doors and save yourselves the trip to the hospital & months off of work!
I am sure the "Safety Brigade" would be very happy to see the SCBA in place before entry though! WTF?!?!
