John Wayne addresses Vietnam POWs upon Their Return

May 24, 1973: In a historic address at a White House dinner honoring and celebrating the return of POWs from Vietnam, John Wayne thanks the President for his services to his country and warmly welcomes America's true heroes, the POWs, home.

@HeatherGlen33 What I am is someone that takes offense at his country being called a terrorist country, particularly by someone who is a citizen of the USA. Even more offensive is that you said this is THE terrorist country. Tell the vets that serve our country putting their lives on the line, keeping the real terrorists at bay that what they are doing is useless and senseless (your words not mine).  Tell them this is THE terrorist country.You may as well spit in their faces.

No if we don't keep our noses out of N Korea and stop telling other countries what to do, we will always be a target. We are hated. Russia and China are on good terms with Iran, and yet we are warning Iran with new threats. We will eventually fall as the Roman Empire fell. Greed, and importing rathert than exporting.

We are trying to find a way to control them also. Let them fight their own damn wars. A little courtesy. And perhaps they can solve their own problems..

@HeatherGlen33 How dare you call the United States of America a terrorist country. If you hate it here that much, may I suggest Iraq, or India? I hear they treat their women much better there. I agree with most of what you stated but you crossed a line calling your own country "the terrorist country".
