To add to your point, there is a subjective reasoning to each action, which is the basis of each belief.  Each action might not be objectively reasonable, but it is a rationalized action on the part of the individual, no?

Don't get me wrong. We'd ofcourse still be motivated by emotions, such as love of friendship. And ofcourse we would still feel sympathy for the ones close to us. But without the forced altruism. Without government, I just don't see us helping the ones, who are not close to us. The ones who need medical care, food or a home.

And in that sense, since I'm a cynic, I'd say Anarchy is egoistic.

Simply put, human actions are determined by belived causality between action and outcome and what that person belives to be a pleasant or unpleasant outcome. Moral reasons are also reasons for human action - only the "pleasant" outcome is that all of humanity will be better off.

Upbringing, government and rule of law are all forced altruism. Without which we would have, well, who knows? I'm a cynic, so i'd say we'd be left with egoism, but then - you might be right.
