The Quran (Islamic holy book) clearly says that you cannot force religion on people (Sura 2 line 256). If there are crazy minor groups like the Taliban and Al-Qaeda, which by the way, I don't consider them as muslims as they have totally strayed from the teachings of Islam, conduct such inhuman behaviors, why are all muslims considers bad? @mouhdie 1st of all, ur comment is completely ignorant. This ritual is completely banned in IRAN. I am a shite, and I have never seen such horrific ritual, I have only heard of it. Although I have been told it is completely painless, this ritual is mainly done in old tribal areas in Iraq who show their grief by shedding blood for the tragic death of the respected grandson of the prophet.
