Mark Waugh Catches Laxman in Chennai Test first innings; it was a beautiful catch taken so easily which haydos was not able to take a similar chance the previous delivery that laxman faced of mcgrath; steve waugh moves mark waugh back to slips ( it was during this series that he injured his fingers so he was fielding outside his favourite zone(slips)); and goes on to take this awesome catch; It looks easy only bcos of the person who took it.

2nd inngs catch doesnt need words to describe it speaks for itself; along with this catch there are 4 catches (Tendulkar, Laxman, Ganguly, Zaheer Khan) in total that he took in that inngs.

I am happy to have witnessed these catch in chennai; proud to say i was there at the stadium to see such great catches;

  • Brilliant fielder. So casual too. Dravid is a fine fielder - he catches the ones that come to him but Mark Waugh creates catches from shots batsmen just don't think should be caught. Laxman's expression said as much.

  • @snyperdoc1 He's not. Mark Waugh is one of the best fieldsmen ever, not because of the number, but because he never let the ball through, and he took screamers and made them look easy. Add miraculous runouts, etc. Number of catches means nothing. Example, Matthew Hayden scored 380, doesn't mean it was the best innings ever when you look at the bowlers.

  • @chunkz1187 nasally retarded Kangaroo

  • @snyperdoc1 just.. no. your wrong and an absolute idiot if you think that.

  • @snyperdoc1 Whinging curry muncher

  • dravids way better slipper .. hes got the record too.. oh yeah hes not white so hes always second..lol

  • mark waugh was the best slip fielder n a wonderful timer when batted... great player to watch... naturally gifted...

    both brothers were gifted

  • Mark was a great player; I fancy he was even finer than his impeccable record would suggest; perhaps he could have averaged slightly more than just shy of 42 or been the kind of bowler that would have warranted the label 'all rounder', but this is academic. Like Kallis, de Villiers, Murali et al., he would have been exemplary in any era. People often confuse a genius with a personality, Waugh was both; his axing was a great sadness, but he is a great nonetheless. Thank you :-)

  • mark... at his best
