James Langford 57 yrd field goal (limited)

Saturday afternoon 12/26/09 at Grant HS in Sac, CA. James Lankford of Foothill H.S. (located in Pleasanton, Ca.) stood poised at mid-field to attempt an astounding 57 yard field goal.

With the game on the line, the clock ticking late in the 4th quarter and seemingly miles away from the end zone, the steely Lankford stood in the face of adversity and patiently awaited fate.

From 4th & 12 on the 40, the ball was snapped and Lankford effortlessly and gracefully stepped into the ball. As the crowd breathlessly awaited the official call, the ball lofted through the uprights (with room to spare) to tie the game at 6-6. The entire crowd (from both sides) erupted with cheers for the 2010 grad.

The game ultimately ended in a 13-13 tie in double overtime.
