passed my test in a RM many years ago .......drive 250k buses now ......rather have a Routemaster any day best bus eva !!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for this series - I lived in Kennington from 1980 to 1985 and used to get the 159 daily to Trafalgar Square . and home adjacent to Kennington Park ourist sightseeing tours.
Road. Superb buses - I Live in Manchester now - and till last year we had three ex LT Routemasters ( still in LT livery) doing tourist sightseeing trips

the routemaster is better off now, bus companys don't really give a toss, as you can clearly see by the wrecked old skips that they expect us to use today, and as for the **** design that has been proposed as the new routemaster...just simply a disgrace.

What do you think about Boris Johnson's proposal to bring Routemasters back?

With or without the route masters, London is just not the same anymore. Its really gone down hill. Bendy buses suck!

the unrefurbished routemasters had windows that actualy let air in unlike the new hopper ones
