  • will not using the jb cleaning compund hurt my air rifle?

  • @technofreak928

J-B non-embedding bore cleaning compound is abrasive, but it is not dangerous to your air rifle. It will help to polish the inside of your bore, without wearing it out.

    Thank you,

    Pyramyd Air Team

  • @pyramydair that is not what i am worried about will the wire brush alone hurt my air rifle. also do you know if the gamo whisper DX uses a brass or steel barrel. sorry im now to the airgun world.

  • @technofreak928

The barrels in the Whisper DX is steel, not brass.

    Thank you,

    Pyramyd Air Team

  • Is this method ok for guns such as the benjamin marauder, and other pcps?

  • @BrandonBAMF197

Yes, although you will need to clean from the muzzle end and will need a pistol brush because of that.

    Thank you,

    Pyramyd Air Team

No, we don't. Airsoft guns don't get dirty in the traditional sense of the word, so they would be cleaned like any other pierce of equipment that has similar materials.

  • @NYCMarineFish ,

It was a Dewey cleaning rod. Very common in gun stores. Also Pyramyd Air sells them online.

No, it won't harm a steel barrel, but there is no reason to do it. A wire brush, alone will not clean the barrel like one loaded with JB Paste will.

You can use the wire brush as long as it is brass or bronze and as long as your airgun barrel is steel. Never use a brush in a brass barrel, or even clean a brass barrel, for that matter.

  • @pyramydair sorry to be a nuisance but i am still wondering if using the wire brush without jb paste will hurt the barrel of my rifle

  • why not use a bore snake instead?
