i was so mad at this scene..u could so tell he wanted to go...and he didn't...and i was mad at clark for the rest of the season for breaking our poor lois's heart!

@samiyakarim1998 Clark went through a lot of drama with Lana when he didn't tell her his secret, and even after he told her, the danger and drama never stopped. Everyone who has learned Clark's secret has gotten hurt one way or another. After losing Lana for the last time, I think Clark's reluctance with Lois, albeit exasperating, is understandable.

If the writers had not brought Lana back for episodes 10-14, this scene would have made much less sense. I wanted Clark and Lois to get together as much as anyone, but Lana's return and departure turned Clark's world upside down again, and he was still reeling from that. Bear in mind that Clark doesn't tell Lois how he feels, and who he really is, until Season 10.

I really hate that he didn't go. She said "if not, then let's just say I get it." After humiliating her at the wedding, he should have got that this was his chance to show that he was interested. She's usually so tough but in this part, she put herself out there and he shot her down... that's why it took so long for anything to happen again!!
