75 on pump gas is actually very easy. just need head work, 2mm over exhaust and intake valves, web cam stage 4, valve springs, and 12:1 piston, and dual exhaust. if you have the right person do the head work, that's where the numbers are made. plus this entire build gives you a BITCHING top end. and thrown in a 14:1 piston and your pushing 80hp.

  • @virginiabronc ya compression makes a big difference in these engines. plus the whole point of the cam, compression, throttle body, and dual exhaust is to move the powerband up to the top end. and larger displacement just defeates that purpose

im sure you're making good numbers with that build. and doing so without at least $7.00 a gallon 110 race gas. (which is a pain to get in california now at a decent price)

  • @dlinecg im thinkin i should put down close to 60hp, the only thing youve really got on me is the 14.1 which would prolly even out my bore with your compression

  • @dlinecg I should have gone with the 14.1 I just didnt want to have to pay for the high octane, Ive got Worked head, 11.1, 105.5 bore, bigger valves, hdd5050 cam, barkers duals, monster intake and pc3, ported throttle body, i still dont know what kind of numbers im putting down I havent been able to get it running here lately, i think the one way is bad in it, just aint had the time to tear it down... I love to be able to get 75 on pump gas thatd be sweet

  • @virginiabronc if your going to put a piston in anyway, why do 11.5:1? you might as well do 12:1 it doesnt cost anymore. you'll have the best outcome with 14:1 honestly and it doesnt do anything to the reliability like people think. my raptor doesnt even get hot. and it puts out 62 horsepower

110 octane, but REALLY beating banshees and any 450 (ANY) is worth it.

  • @virginiabronc dude its easy to make mad horsepower out of these. if you got ~800-1000$ to spend you have at least 60 horsepower easy.

stock raptors are dirt slow. even the piped ones (no engine work) they just wheely because of the torque from being a 700. so people think theyr fast. but after dual exhaust, cam, compression and a few other details THEN they are BITCHING fast

  • now why would you say better fuel economy. that just makes you sound like an idiot

my raptor makes 62 horsepower and 48 lbs torque. (CP 14:1 piston, 2mm larger throttle body, hotcams stage 3, powercommander, barker dual exhaust.)

hello VP 110. :) its beyond worth it though.

but if you got the money you can make 75+ horsepower on pump gas. just my buil but with porting, 2mm larger valves, and 12:1 piston (91 octane O.K)

  • Might be harder to get them to 50 h.p but either way there still smokin fast.......
