  • ok.. ok maybe I'ma bit harsh on them..but i just like my original monkess best &t he guy Steve is it. from BBS. who started,...thsi how un original..I think it would had been more succcessful with anather name under a different format.. cause the music is good pop 80's.. but why when the original group was putting out an album.. "Pool it' 1987 & touring kinda seems a little suspicious ..like a cash in.. ya feel me?

  • @MsTWOSPIRIT @MsTWOSPIRIT I really don't think they were trying to 'cash in'. Rafelson and Schnieder were in on this as well. But I agree with you, a different name should have been the way to go. But that was during the regurgitation period of television and because the series was syndicated, it had to be sold to different markets. Unfortunately, I think the producers were between a rock and a hard place if they wanted the show to get 'sold'. But I still agree with you :)

  • BOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • @MsTWOSPIRIT Oh, Come On!! You're more opened minded than that! You're from Chicago AND have read "God is Red"!!

  • This is more like New Kids On The Block than the Monkees.

  • @NewHollywoodPro I think the point was NOT to be like the Monkees. But New Kids On The Block?? If I had to compare them to something from the 80's, I think it'd be more like Richard Marx! :)

  • @decay1966 you right iam but I just luv the origianl monkees i felt highly insulted when all this came about int he 80's sorry i'm justan origianl fan of the oriignal TV that really beacme a group also the original monkees can play just as good as these guys,if not better...

  • @decay1966 Yes, the New Monkees are more like Richard Marx than NKOTB. I wasn't familar with him until I looked him up "hear" on yootoob. You are right. I was wrong.
