I'm blessed to be a Collings D1-A owner. It's essentially set up exactly like the D1AV...same 1 3/4" nut, same inlays, etc. It's a joy to play and I continually marvel at the tone and volume. As an added bonus, I live north of San Antonio, a little over an hour away from Dripping Springs where the Collings factory is located. Every Friday afternoon they have a free tour which I've probably been on four or five times, but I never tire of watching them build their wonderful instruments.
