Linux in my opinion is for more "serious" stuff not gaming...wanna play games, buy a PS3

If I skip through the opening videos mine loads just as fast under Vista 64 bit with 8GB of ram as it does on my Linux box with the same hardware (as close to the same hardware as possible anyway)

When I played it I had some really strange shadow problems.

My bad. I didn't mean M$ made HOMM, if they did you'd get blue screens of death :D I was just pointing out that their own programs run faster on linux

installed fine, but now i get a black screen when i run the executable
did u install with an iso or cdrom?

Moneymeng: What Wine version? What graphics gard? Check appdb . winehq . org if someone have similar problems. And please post Wine debugger log if you post a bug @ bugzilla!

FlyasS82: Yeah, assuming you have Wine and a fairly new ATI/NVIDIA card. There is a link in my movie comment, check it out!
