honestly i started my locks because i got tierd of waring braids. i am a young black male. i never thought that i would get locks because i saw a rasta man when i was younger and his hair creeped me out,but as i got older i noticed how neat and well gromed locks can be. for a while i just woar braids but after a while i got tired of the hair combing or having to wear old loose braids.so i cut my hair less than a inch,began my jurney in november of 2004 ,had them ever since. i love my baby locks

more than 26 years ago i wanted locs for the style only, my husband did not like the idea, my daughter begged me just wait until i graduate and i listened to them after the kids were gone and the husband was gone my self esteem was low some 5 years after that i felt like doing me , i researched a little i prayed for help my answer came , love yourself first .started my locs at a salon on january 17th 19,2001 i no i'm blessed,  never felt better search your soul , bless u & thanks

i have locs and it's a wonderful feeling im 19 years old i am closer to GOD than i ever thought i would be at this time in my life being a teenager i know some of the beliefs are true my locs have brought me closer to GOD and i voe to live my life holy and i thank you for opening my eyes on the origin of locs. ...........commanded to..Love your neighbor as you love yourself...so you have to love yourself, to love others...loving yourself means accepting yourself naturally.

....I look better natural and people respect me more, because I have come into my own.

myself. I was recently asked by my supervisor to cover my tattoo, and complied. If she asks me to change my hair I CANNOT comply with that. My locs are ME and I love them. So in essence I am locking to FREE myself. :-)
