As you'll see right away, there's been a change! I found out how to use the Drill feature on the panel, and this is me showing it off!

When the drill switch is activated, the NAC outputs continuous (unless coded by the drill switch input), no matter what NAC coding the panel is progammed for. It also causes a Signal Trouble on the panel. The trouble is able to be silenced via the TROUBLE SILENCE switch. When the "drill" is complete, just return the switch to the normal position, and the signals stop and the trouble goes away (pending whether or not you silenced the trouble, you may have to return the trouble silence switch back to the normal position).

And just as a bonus, I set it off normally too.

Enjoy!

  • No, it just activates the NAC and gives a signal trouble. If an alarm should come in while the drill function is being used, it doesn't appear that the alarm will override the dirll function, as I set my panel for code-3 and tried it and the NAC remained in continuous.

  • The drill function uses -24v. I just wired the -AUX relay to the switch and then another wire from the switch to the drill terminal so whenever I flip the switch on the drill function activates.

  • How Does This Work

  • Does drill not activate a zone?
