  • funny how much better this is than george harrison himself and yet he's the star of the show.

  • @robertmaxwellproduce I know right? I like his last song..and it's funny how the band doesn't know the bob dylan songs haha

  • 5:20. Playin' so fierce it starts smoking....

  • @zackman911 Indeed :)

  • The true beauty of music is it can improve your humanity. And the concert helped the people out there to realize what kind of brutal genocide was going on in BANGLADESH in1971.American diplomats tried to fool the people but failed eventually. Thanks to this guy to stand by the bangladeshi people.

  • @partha8pratim a protest of peace of the truest nature <3

  • A beautiful set of duets between the sitar and sarod, with masters of each performing. At the time this was recorded, Indian music was still very new in America. George Harrison incorporated the sitar in several of the Beatles' recordings and really put traditional Indian music on the map for many of us. George was always my favorite Beatle, and I hope to jam with him someday in the hereafter.

  • Pt. Ravi Shankar is George Harrison's guru. You sure can't expect the sudent to be better than the guru.

  • amazingness.

  • I was at that concert and looking back I can't even watch the rest of the show. Compared to this American music is junk music. The musical equivalent of the junk food Americans eat.

  • saw the concert back in 73 , in a theatre and was the first time I heard Ravi Shankar .Im 56 now and rediscovering this music again thanks to the internet, love this music!

  • the end just keeps looping in my head like steps when you walk around

  • My goodness! I was at this concert in Madison Square Gardens in Aug of 1971. I was 9 months pregnant. I was right up to the stage. I still remember watching Ravi Shankar...they had beautiful music. You younger people have no clue. Our best in our time played for free for the starving in Bangladesh. Leon Russell gave me his scarf. Patted my huge belly too. It was later stolen from me. I am happy I am old enough to have memories you guys will never have! That is my story an I am sticking

  • @robertmaxwellproduce ok mister picky man. why must you criticize? who are you?

  • @Music100Quality when i say better, i mean to say that harrison could have done much better than he did, and shankar did his best. harrison sounded drunk

  • Funny how this concert wouldn't have happened if it were not for George Harrison's help. It was about raising money not a competition between the musicians Maybe they were all just foolin us but I thought the entire album was wonderful Still have it

  • I GOT BLISTERS ON MY FINGERS!!!!
