"no new taxing power"?
READ my post, they already HAD the power to tax ALL IMCOMES, they didn't need anymore.
It had nothing to do with taxing just corporations. And until you can show me a State that says THEY didn't ratify it and the Government says they DID, that's a lame argument.
-
@RetSquid - The Court also said that it gave them NO new taxing power... why? Cuz the 16th was passed to tax corps. They had passed a law to do that and it was stuck down - so they passed the 16th to give the power to tax corps - they whole thing is STILL a fruad - do to the way it passed and the States never passed it ... FRAUD

@GlenRoSSe69 “The Sixteenth Amendment declares that Congress shall have power to levy and collect taxes on income, ‘from whatever source derived’ without apportionment among the several states, and without regard to any census or enumeration. It was not the purpose or the effect of that amendment to bring any new subject within the taxing power. ***Congress already had the power to tax all incomes***..."
Bowers, Collector v. Kerbaugh-Empire Co., 271 U.S. 170, 173-174 (1926).

The 16th Amendment took away the requirement that income taxes had to be apportioned. And yes, they DO have the 'right' to tax at 100%, the Constitution does not put a limit on the tax rates. They would be extremely stupid to tax at 100%, but it would be legal.
I stopped paying income tax!
