  • or... not use commercial items to symbolize love...

  • Tried to explain this to my GF last time she brought up diamonds and engagement rings. Of course she just assumed I was being a cheapskate.

    A) Expressing love for someone has NOTHING to do with the size of the rock you can put on her finger.

    B) Diamonds (just like oil and other precious materials) fund some of the world's most violent and pointless wars.

  • "Hardest material on Earth" No there not lmao Graphene is.

  • @fuzzywzhe Diamond only has practical use when cutting things. It's the hardest naturally occurring material on earth. And you're right that artificial diamonds can be used instead, and they're just as good. Things like cubic zircon should replace diamond in jewelery.

  • @dmoore714 a diamond ring is/was suppose to be the insurance policy a girl/wife has over the boyfriend/husband, if the male were to cheat or unjustifiably cheat on his female companion. The diamond ring would serve as compensation for the time lost with the other person. And it has other values and uses also.

  • @fuzzywzhe Wow. You see, that I didn't know.

  • very very nice. We cant talk to me?

  • @Ticomfreak We can. Taking carbon from the air is rather pointless and wastes a ton of energy (thus more carbon into the air). It only takes a 1 year to make a flawless 1/2 karat diamond that can't be distinguished from natural diamonds. You can have a portion of your ashes when you are cremated turned into a diamond if you want. It costs about $8,000 and they can make any color diamond you want.

  • @dmoore714 Marketing and advertising are very powerful tools. This is but one of the sad effects it has on society.

  • I wish we could take the carbon from our air and make it into diamonds.

  • Once again an USA is the worst.. Buys diamonds without thinking just as europe. But apparently american are a bit worser

  • GOOD makes some awesome informative videos...
