As African leaders look for ways to grow their economies, they face many hurdles including a lack of energy production and poor infrastructure. VOA's Vincent Makori reports.

Arica is the richest continent in the world in terms of natural /mineral resources.The brain drain and poor governance has resulted in poor infrastructure, irrigation and energy.

European colonialism and african corrupt leaders are why AFRICA is like this. NO other reasons or people are the most responsible for this. The russians, arabs, and others come in africa after either the U.S. or europe does its dirt. Africa has to develop, manage, and evenly distribute its OWN RESOURCES for all of its people. Then all those foreign powers can leave AFRICA to its own future and destiny.

Poverty in an area can be imposed. That's why Africa is poor. This whole setup is sad really.
