The Free Culture Revolution: Recut

This video is an educational piece designed to raise awareness of the issues surrounding copyright infringement and freedom of expression that are so prevailant in our online societies today. You Tube are removing so called 'infringing' material at the behest of large media companies such as the BBC, Paramount Pictures and MGM and deleting accounts left, right and centre. This is a terrible shame as a lot of the highly creative work being produced today is video remix work and many people may never see these entertaining pieces if they are 'erased from existence' by big corporations. For anyone else who has experienced this, make sure to send a counter notice when a video of yours is removed that is clearly fair use. Otherwise, the bullies will win. Viva la Revolution du Liberte!
