Then flip the switch for the auxillary fuel pump in the cockpit and make a safe landing on the carrier. I would save the gave as you get lined up just so you can practice landing without having to start over each time.

To take off you have to use the following commands
Tail Hook (Extend/Retract) SHIFT+Q
Attach to Catapult (Engage) SHIFT+I
Launch Bar (Extend/Retract) SHIFT+U
Catapult (Launch) SHIFT+SPACEBAR
Hope this helps also in the mission
Catalina Day Spa you can land on a carrier too. You will do the mission and loose your fuel pump when the pump goes out look at the water for the aircraft carrier.

I have the fsx gold edition which includes the fsx acceleration expansion pack. There is a mission called rocket launch air cover where you can take off from the carrier. To land you have to have your tail hook down and hit the carrier deck with a steep approach to catch the hook. When I made this video I saved the game about 100 feet from the deck so that when I crashed I could reload and try until I got it..
