@moo5009 Not really. More like 'thank you, Lord'. It's gratias, by the way, not gracias. Unless you were Spanish; then it would be 'gracias Dios'.

@aneper it's actually gracias. though not the latin "deo gratias," deo gracias is used in a few anglican/episcopal hymns - such as adam lay ybounden, a popular advent carol dated to around 1400.
