the minimum age for going to class would all depend on the class and the prospective student, I train at systema louisville and over the years we've had a couple of younger kids train with us, one kid was a highschool wrestler and I think was 14 or 15 when he started training. I wish I could have had something like systema when I was that age

@SlavaSvarogu k because when my dad trained, he had to leave because he was too young, the law cahnged to minimum 16 year olds.

@speedyguydima this is old traditional Russian martial art,adoptet about 100 years in Soviet army toghether with combat sambo,today Systema is big mix of practicly everything but this is same old martial art

it does look like dancing sometimes, esp vladimir's stuff. but I can assure you its not choreographed. go to a class and see if you think its not real. systema involves hiding power, emanating calm, or even fear, perplexing and then surprising an opponent. you don't put yr dukes up, snarl and brawl. so it doesn't LOOK like what people think of as "real" fighting. but attack an experienced practitioner and you will quickly be on yr ass and you won't be able to work out how it happened.
