Better yet, make our existing education system more relevant to those who excel. This "No Child Left Behind" program champions mediocrity. Meanwhile, it's our best and brightest who are being left behind. We need to create an environment where these young people can succeed. That means encouraging those who are not academically inclined to learn a trade instead. Expand automotive and diesel mechanics, and "woodshop" courses which teach construction. Then the smart kids won't be distracted.
