Wild and Free meerkat pups are amazing to see as they emerge for the very first time, usually just after their eyes open around eight days after they are born. They weigh about 16 grams when born, and are covered in very sparse hair - and they rely on the rest of the meerkat group to keep them warm and protect them. The level of care given to meerkat babies by their group is inspirational to me - another lesson in Nature's Classroom is to take better care of our family - Meerkat Magic Moments!
