A quiet Friday afternoon's ramble around some of Slough Skillcentre, the now demolished site which cost millions of pounds to build in the early 1980's. This site at Walpole Road in Cippenham, replaced the original Skillcentre site in Buckingham Avenue on the Slough Trading Estate. The site at Walpole Road belonged to the government since WW1 when it was used to store old war machinery. It later became the site of the Skillcentre hostel which housed the Skillcentre trainees.
