Gatlinburg, Tennessee will once again host the 34th annual July 4th Midnight Parade, the first July 4th Parade in the Nation. This year it will celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. On Friday, July 3rd at midnight the parade begins with a reenactment of the Presidential motorcade carrying Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1940, when he traveled through the streets of Gatlinburg on his way to Clingmans Dome in the Smokies to dedicate the park. This special motorcade reenactment will feature the well known movie star David Keith as FDR. Many other dignitaries and veterans will join in this spectacular event.
