Driving the Sheridan Road ravines in Winnetka

It's the closest thing in Chicagoland to Painted Cave Road in Santa Barbara or Mulholland Highway in LA.

A stretch of Sheridan Road in Winnetka and Glencoe winds up and down through "the ravines" and offers a driving experience that's a rite of passage for every North Shore teenager with a driving permit.

Drove through the ravines today, it was love at first sight of seeing the 15 m.p.h. signs and I love the dips and curves.

Aww man, wanted to see how the road curves! Forestway road from Willow road is fun too, but you need to go above 65 to feel anything, since it curves gently.
