  • i think that camera resolution is a violation...i can't see anything. learning the NEC code is a pain....somebody needs to make it easier to remember and understand....finding anything in the book is rediculous

  • this video was intended to be seen by electricians showing some of the illegal wiring methods of the past. sorry about the camera resolution. it was my cell phone, the only video camera i had at the time. if you have any questions about the code i can help you with, just ask

  • Perhaps the home/building owner misunderstood the HomeDepot Row #8 Electrical GuRu's installation instructions. You should have to show your electrical license at the check-out counter before completing a purchase.

  • @LordVoltRod2c I agree 100 %,here in the UK the whole situation has become an absolute mess!Too many governing bodies, who give any given company the approved contractor status, one person within the company is inspected,he is then the principle duty holder. But these firms still knowingly employ unqualified electricians to do the work!!and idots to do the test and inspections! To me it should be individuals that become approved electricians.I would love to know how our BS7671 compares to your NEC

  • The NEC is NOT intended to be an instruction manual for do-it-your-self work. NEC is a big collection of LEGAL DOCUMENTS that will be applied to various electrical installations. According to 2002 edition chapters 2 & 3 deals in wiring in particular. 2 being about wiring & protection & 3 being methods & materials of wiring like conduit and cable trays. Please do NOT apply this book to do-it-yourself work! Electrical work requires hours of devotional study time.

  • @gt350kr thanks for the offer, our class ends this week so we're scrambling to pull everything together
