I always love your demos. But why don't you front mount your drivers? The sound would be more open.

Very nice design. What are the small dumbbells for hanging off the back of the woofer frames?

Thanks for your comment. I believe loudspeakers (or more concisely, drivers) sound better when they are sustained by heavier things. The dumbbells sustain the drivers and help them to produce firm and clear sound.

Wish I could hear this via FO audio coupler. The room reflections in and around 1-3k bother me. What changed around 1:40ish mark? Are you moving the mic? Sorry if I am not up to speed on your technique for capturing your audio. A KEMAR stationary simulated binaural mic can be fabricated for your explorations in sound. Sorry if I'm intruding. Hard Wood flooring allways troublesome.

I don't know much about recording or room acoustics, but I suspect what bothers you is not room reflections but the character (or frequency responses) of the microphone. Have you ever used Zoom Q3? It tends to sound high-pitched a little. Moreover, the microphone seems to be solidly fixed to the body, so the sound gets somewhat shrill and changes as you move the camera.

動画拝見しました。私もスワンを持っていますが、あんなにしっとりと鳴りません。ネコは大音量でもオーディオだと分かっている時は平然と寝ていますね。ひょっとしたらビーチボーイズなど好きなのかもw
