Overclocking the SNES with a 23.292Mhz Crystal giving it a core clock speed of 3.882Mhz, comparing it with the original. Thumbs up and nice screen = original. Thumbs down and graphic glitches = overclocked.
ich könnt so kotzen, wenn hier leute einem einen unterschied zeigen wollen, aber man aufgrund der kameraführung nichts erkennen kann. ich hasse diese scheiss aufnahmen.
@LoveBackmasking Actually it was and is. The chips used in it were all common applications that had been around for years and were very inexpensive. The SNES architecture replied a lot more heavily on parallel processing and as such is not nearly as easy to overclock.
I remember working for hours trying to develop a way to overclock the SNES without overclocking the PPUs about 10 years ago. I too was disappointed with the results.
I worked on the Saturn for weeks, but never was able to overclock it successfully.
@LoveBackmasking Why should u overclock it anyway? I did it and it messed up the whole sound sprites. Also, the SNES had enhancement Chips, with over 12 MHz, really no need to overclock it.

@LoveBackmasking Of course overclocking cheap generic hardware is easier...

the snes can be overclocked to a max speed of 5+mhz,wich is ideal for fx games, like doom, vortex.
