Does this work as a traditional octave pedal as well, like does it sound good with one octave up and some fuzz?

it's on the detune mode, so it sounds like it, but EHX said they worked on it so it tracks better than the normal pog.

Kenny Richardson, a member of the '70s EHX crew who happened to be visiting on the same day that CrunchGear came by and shot this.
fwiw, there's more info over on the EHX site -- Kenny was among the folks who went with EHX to the USSR in 1979 (the first trade show open to the the West).
