  • Still a mind-boggling accomplishment, 40 years ago. America needs something like this now.

  • This is a great video of the moon landings. It gives you a good perspective on the real time events that took place.

I wasn't around in 1969 yet i watch these images and I am profoundly moved that we as a civilization achieved that feat.

  • @pk500 the world needs something like this now.

  • @DS127

I believe Armstrong has always maintained he did say "a man" and that a split second break up in transmission caused it to be lost.

  • @hannable70 He meant to say "a", but an analysis of the recording shows the time between "for" and "man" is too short for an "a" to fit. Maybe I'm just used to the recorded version, but I think the intended quote is a bit cheesy. Though what words wouldn't sound trite or banal? Without "a" the quote feels more abstract, like man has accomplished much but this is only a first step, and with the intended quote's meaning still being implied.

  • What a lot of people don't realize is that Armstrong actually said, "One small step for A man, one giant leap for Mankind." A communication error glitched out the "a." It gives the quote more meaning.

  • Two Russians dont like this video

  • @MrBennetzen The 25 % was composed of China, North Korea, Albania, and North Viet Nam. Still, you do have a point. On another video concerning Apollo 13, I was very impressed with the questions the reporters asked. I don't see today's reporters being able to ask questions like that, and even if they were, they probably wouldn't bother because most of the public would neither care about or understand the answers.

  • @lander4545 To Bart Sibrel an the other moon hoaxers including Bill Kaysing (who also claimed that NASA murdered the entire crew of Challenger because the teacher Christa McAuliffe was going to blow the whistle on NASA): You Lose!

  • @wardenphil Then in that case we need to start educating and inspiring the population to take up flying into space instead of Hannah Montana.

  • Seeing Nixon talk to the astronauts makes me sick - he is a main culprit is sacking the space program.

  • @MrBennetzen I heard that 25 % of the world's population did not know this event happened.
