  • I just got a new 5.1 setup and I wouldn't dare put the sub behind the TV, that would affect the sound in a BAD way I mean WTF as for sub placement in general it IS important, you cant just sit a sub anywhere and expect ti to sound good.

  • Chill out all! I've been an audio engineer for 25 years. If the TV was a tube, the placement might be bad per magnetic interference. As far as attenuation of the sub notes...from 80 htz down the wavelengths are 12 ft or longer. There's never a problem with the low end getting to you.

  • what happened to your website? send me the vids via email pls

  • Holy crap guys, chill out. Depending on the type and quality of woofer, you could place it almost anywhere in a room. You can even put them in the roof or under a couch. The lower frequencies don't need any sort of line of sight to sound good, and sometimes having it in a chamber or in a slightly enclosed space can make it sound better because then the walls reverberate and can give it a more rumbly, booming sound.

  • no lol ur an idiot call geek squad

  • everyone knows you should either place the sub in a corner to produce tight bass or behind a couch

  • LOL! You guys are actually telling this professional that he's wrong?! Wow, you guys obviously don't know the first thing about home theater.

  • why? lol

  • Well, he did'nt mention regarding his SUB, if down fire or front fire but if it is front fire? He must to think twice before he upload in YOUTUBE!
