@maddiemook1 Thats not even an open minded response PERIOD. First of all, using your iphone vs a more expensive video recording device such as a DSLR, then you are on more of a budget. 2nd, if you received your iphone as a gift and or get your bill payed for by a girlfriend or boyfriend, Etc, then that just blows your logic out of the water, PERIOD.

@twinsouls if ur usin an i phone than ur definetynot on a budget period

@BillieJean900 You can't buy one. You have to build one, as I describe in the video. The parts are readily available. Just Google them.

@FarrellFKC ok nice , where can i buy 1

@BillieJean900 I'm not 100% sure as I've only tried it with a 3GS and 4. However, the form factor of the 4s is supposed to be identical to the 4 and it seemed that way when I played with the 4s at the Apple Store. So, I'm reasonably sure it will. Maybe someone else on this thread has built one for the 4s?

does it work with 4s

Check this tripod accesorry, very functional and sleek phone mount. In presentation videos you will see probably best smartphone attachment.
Project is now funding on kickstarter com, search for CAPTA.

@PeterSteeves Thanks. I used a little, hot-shoe mounted shotgun mic on a Canon HV30.
Why not just stick a Canon 7D on that thing?Thats what that tripod looks like it meant for,therfore expensive.If your using your iphone for video,you obviously on a budget.Is there anything cheaper than that thing?

@twinsouls You could stick a DSLR on the tripod. I've shot video with a Nikon D90 on it. However, that's not the point of this video.
For people who already have an iPhone and perhaps a tripod of some sort, you can build this thing with a used L-Bracket that might cost $50. It makes the iPhone a pretty nice video camera. Especially the iPhone 4.

@dirtysoapbox It's actually called an L-Bracket. I bought mine at Kirk Enterprises online, but you can get them used on Ebay, which may be better for this purpose as the new ones are a bit expensive.

nice video. how do you get the white background like that? Thanks
maxreynoso 2 years ago
Thanks much.
The white background takes a little effort. First, you need a white background, literally. I used white seamless paper.
Second, you need to light it, otherwise it will turn out gray. I put hotlights on either side of me pointed toward the center of the paper enough for it to be evenly lit.
You can double-check it by using the zebra pattern on your video camera set at 100%. If it's zebra, it's white.
