I'm not a drummer. But I do use this software to the best of my abilities as I do record my own stuff. I'm having trouble with blast beats. Can someone send me a link or let me know the general ins and outs of blast beat formulas? I.E - 16ths on snare, 8ths on hi hat or whatever. Thanks for any help guys!

@ArtOfRuin75 - there are different variations of the blast beat - you can hit the hi-hat and bass at the same time, then hit the snare, or the snare and hi-hat at the same time, then the bass. There is also the bomb blast, where they hit all at the same time. Paul Mazurkiewicz of Cannibal Corpse will do double-bass under a bomb blast, so there's all three hitting, plus a bass note by itself, the tempo is just really fast... I'd use 8th notes as 16th tends to sound kinda fake with Beatcraft.

@tony93666 cool! cheers man! loads of help. yeah, i watched an actual drummer lesson vid and he was saying to use 16ths on the snare. i guess that works in real life. but yeah, on beatcraft, 16ths sound like fecal matter

@ArtOfRuin75 - glad to help out! yeah, the above video drum tracks are 8th notes, but the tempo is like 200, if I remember correctly(it's been quite awhile since I did this). Check out the video "Christianslayer" to hear these drum tracks in a full (black metal) band context. There's a website called "Sick Drummer" that can help alot in understanding extreme drumming, which can help alot when programming beats.
