Frihedskæmperens Sang ( The Song about The Member Of The Resistance Movement), one of many Danish songs and melodies dedicated the Liberation in 1945, and the brave fight of the Danish Resistance during the German occupation of Denmark 1940-45.

Helge Leonhard (1911-1996) was a very popular Danish vocalist during 1940'ies. 1951 emmigrated to Canada.

Sid Merriman (1899-1971), the pseudunym of Hugo Gyldmark, was one of the very popular band leaders in Copenhagen between 1930-50'ies

My father is the gentleman singing on this record. I will post some photos of him when he was in Denmark performing. We moved to Canada in 1951. I have all his music archived on CD from about 75 or so 78 rpm records. Unfortunately he passed away October, 1996.
