  • To make a mountain of your life

    Is just a choice

    But I never learned enough

To listen to the voice that told me

Always love? Hate will get you every time

Always love? Don?t wait til the finish line

  • Humans aren't capable of loving everyone equally, nor are we capable of loving everyone. We are hierarchical beings,as evidenced by our own experience, the organization of society, and history. Also,in real life, there's no easy distinction between love & attachment, despite what Buddhism says and what many shrinks currently say about "co-dependence." You strike me as intelligent, but I sometimes get the feeling that your attraction to Buddhism is unquestioning, ephemeral, & based on its exoticism.

  • Liked this video very much. Shall go through others as well when I find the time. As a person who came to appreciate and follow the Dhamma after being a very devout Catholic during my youth, I have experienced the happiness that comes from understanding that suffering is due to my own attachment to phenomena that are impermanent. I like to share a thought too. The Dhamma uses the pali word mettha (translated as loving kindness, i.e. love that generates kindness rather than attachment)

  • NOTE to atfatw:

    You should listen with purpose

that you might find a thread of common understanding

    with your fellow human beings.

No man is an island, even though they may wish it so ...

  • pure Buddhism:)

  • WOW! Thanks Gerald. I've went through tons of videos trying to find one on Attachment that would hit home. I'm on my way to buy that book.

    Thank you.
