  • @phill90212 IS an excellent DJ He now presents the breakfast show on Smooth. He says a lot of stuff I wouldn't have advised him to say if I was his producer, but you can tell he means well, and he often tells little anecdotes which make me smile. For example- he apparently left his TV remote in the fridge for a month!

  • @phill90212 IS an excellent DJ. He's on Smooth Radio now.

  • Christ, have not heard Bates since I left the Uk for California over 25 years ago..NICE!!!! no matter what you say, he was a excellent DJ.

  • @SeventiesMania Yes it IS supposed to be a joke. You clearly have no sense of humour. Simon does the breakfast show on Smooth Radio now and he's great. If you can't stand him on the chart, why on earth are you listening to this chart? Why don't you try and find one with a DJ you do like? I'm not saying there's anything wrong with Tom Browne or Tommy Vance- but wouldn't it be better to listen to and comment on DJs you do like rather than spoil these pages for people who like Batesy?

  • @sandprof Oh no way, if I had the chance to go back to 1978, even as the age I am now, I'd be back there like a shot. I may not have the internet or all the modern accoutrements, but I wouldn't need em. I'd go to football again, instead of watching the matches online; I'd go to discos and soul clubs instead of downloading songs onto my computer; I think I'd just have a far more exciting life.

  • 'Gordon still hasn't sued', is that supposed to be a joke? Really could never stand Simon Bates on the chart, he sounded so false and really irritating after the smooth, melifluous tones of Tom Browne, who was the ultimate chart presenter, with Tommy Vance a close second for me.

  • I just love "Frankie Vallie - Grease Is The Word" Bee Gees are brilliant composers, The film is great too :o)

  • please upload the other parts. Thank u.

  • Please upload the rest

  • good days - but better now
